Thermal Baths and Hotels in Hungary

The third volume of the Corvina thematic guide series presents the spas and spa hotels located on the unique Hungarian water resources by country. The use of the book is greatly facilitated by the fact that at the very beginning we get information about the technical terms used in the volume and the composition of the different thermal waters. Within each part of the country, you can get acquainted with the major spas and spa hotels, a total of 122 from all over the country, their history and services, as well as the sights of the given area. Each facility includes availability, opening hours, a list of individual pools and services, the composition of the medicinal water, and a list of the diseases for which the water is recommended. To make the picture even more complete, at the end of the volume, we name an additional 110 spas and hotels that, while not declared spa, have thermal water with a high soluble mineral content. We also give their addresses. The volume closes with a list of the 98 cross-border spas and spa hotels that were established before World War I and are still in operation today. The guidebook is illustrated with 470 color photos. Orientation is aided by a map and GPS coordinates.
